Hurry cause they are in my shopping cart.

I would have to see how they sag, ride height etc but i am going to start with 30W and back off the ring by 5mm as they read like a much much more stiffer spring. Your terrain and driving style will dictate which way to go.

Geez Gazoo. Nice Vesla. And that is with the comp rings all the way up in the back. Doesn't look like you di the fronts. True? Might have to rethink

Thanks that’s an old picture, it’s a lot heavier now that it’s all aluminum too and still very stiff. I have a video but can’t post it here i guess. I’ll have to put it on YouTube and link it.
The before pic was with the adjusters all the way down and after was all the way up. They are very strong and fun to install lol I haven’t had the time to run them yet.

Thanks. Too stiff of a spring could upset the whole car and make the handling even worse. Will tink about it some more.

If you're not out of preload, it sits how you want it and it's nlt tank slapping then springs are fine. The springs are just to hold the weight and allow the suspension to articulate. The shock fluid and valves (lol, holes) determine compression and rebound rates. The springs play a role in that, of course. But that the very basic nut shell of selecting springs.

AWESOME Info.
I 100% agree with you on the spring rates and will NOT be purchasing. No spring should be fully locked out with any drivetrain or suspension configuration. I am NOT a suspension guru but that is not how it works. You are left with ZERO tuning ability and that is definitely NOT how it works.

I suspect the massive difference in the springs is the old "Squeaky Wheel Gets the Grease". For the Vesla the Big Bore Gas users have been mainly driving the upgrades from Kraken and Taylor. I haven't read or seen any YT vids on any complaints from the Electric guys.

For my Gas Vekta TT, 12S Vekta and my Gas Vesla my thought / experiment is to try this until a range of springs are made. I am going to try the rear first as that is where most of the weight bias is.

I figured $25 is worth a try using stock oil weights and pistons F/R
Adjust the stock Adjuster Ring down 5mm F/R
Purchase and install VEKTA.5 and VESLA.5 F/R Alum Shock Adjuster Ring Set and install above the stock one
Purchase DDM Chrome Shock Springs for Kraken Vekta.5 - FRONT. Cut in half and install. ** May have to take out coils as needed
Set ride height, droop etc with the main spring
Fine tune with the secondary spring

Coil clipping leads to higher spring rates. Basically making a shorter, but stiffer spring. Kinda defeats the point. Would be easier just to spec out springs and do a group buy/ have them custom made.

100% agree on the spring cut but that is the point. If the stock spring is say a 2 and the new kraken one is say a 10. I have no way to know but if the way i think it will work ends up being a 5 with the potential to be a 5.5, 6, 7 etc with a few twists of the adjuster ring then that is better than a 10 IMO. I am experimenting simply cause there is no other choice at the moment. If it works, great, if not i am not out a lot of $$ until something else comes out.

If you find what spec works for multiple configurations or a chart to plug in your spec to spit out a spring rate and find a company to make them for the same $$ as Kraken i will definitely be on the Group buy list.
