there is no such thing as EVO 12,it doesn't exist,it is still EVO 08 with upgraded wishbones on front (top) and rear shock tower and radio plate.

still EVO 08 my friend sorry to chime in and have to say this.

best of luck with it though, looks nice!

there was never an 'official' release after the 08 EVO,only some upgrades along the way.
it's basicly an unchanged chassis sinse 08. the chassis defines the year of model release.

decky :)

I think he's saying it's a 2012 car i.e a new car - which it is.

didn't say it's not a new car now did i? i am pointing out simply what i have written as it's a forum and any user is intitled to post if he is registered here and who knows information that is true, what i have posted was just to specify the truth and not to confuse current FG owners that there is no EVO called EVO 12,it's still evo 08 chassis!

yes but its a kit and being built in 2012 so hes got everyright to call it a evo12 even if its a evo 8 i call my fg beetle a evo spec as it got all the same bits just on a marder

im looking foward to this build i was so close to getting a brand new evo but couldnt justify the cost

WHO CARES?

It's bloody nice!!
Mate, that's one nice piece of kit.

Sort yourself out with a decent Tx/Rx and good servos and arms, and brace the servo tray and/or replace with carbon, then you're really laughing.

Wouldn't it look nice with a new Evora shell on it ....... the GT/E of course, but nobody's making one, are they .... ?

Al.

Sorry guys. as I look in the manual there are quite a few different so I think it maybe a new version or something. (btw: I think the manual that come with it say evo 08 or something..... may check it when I go home). The servo tray is lower, the steering crank, the front upper arm, front shock mount.... are different.... I finished building it already and it is nice. :) think this is one of the nicest kit I build so far. Only have one issue is one to the upper arm's set screw hole have some material left inside causing the set screw cannot go in properly. Clean it up with a tap and it is all good now. :) And the upper deck do look kind of weak as it was flexing a lot while install the servos. I regard I did not get the hydrolic brakes as it is sooooo nice. Took some picture last night after I install the electronics. :) Now just need to paint the body. :) BTW: The body in the picture is not mine. It is my friend's but he is still working on the car. LOL

Get yourself a nice polished bit of 20mm grinte the size of your table to set it up on and you won't go far wrong.

Thanks Mike, got that last weekend! At set and ready. :) The Evo have so much more steering compare to my old sportline. :)

Good job Dude. Please don't take offence at this but when you run it for the first time and for the next 1/2 dozen races, don't expect it to do everything you want straight away, you'll get there but it will take time. Work on your setting up as much as you do driving it. Ask advice from Chris Smith, Dave Bowen and Bean - they are 3 of the most knowlegable people with FG on road cars in the UK, Dave & Chris are quite local to Brookland and Bean will be there at Nationals.

Thanks Mike. totally agree with you. using the setting inside the manual the car is really loose.... I play around with the diff and rear toe, springs, sway bar and it is better now. The good side is laptime is already faster than my sportline. But not as consistance... Think need to work on my driving now to get use to more front end grip. :D I would like to visit you guys sometime but I am at Hong Kong..............
