hi ive only had my fg beetle for 2 weeks but its not for me ..im considering getting a mcd buggy .. are they worth it , whats needed out of the box or the early stages.. and which one

also i see they take jumbo servos , ive got a multiplex , but can you fit a standard servo on the throttle/brake , like an ace ds1015..
thanks for your help

2 lrg steering servos and you can fit a small ace for the throttle and brake
the cars are very good out of the box now (evo 3 models)
all that they really need if you get the comp version is a bit of locktight hear and there
always on the wheel nuts also the shock oil needs changing as its crap i would recoment mcd 500 wt

Hi i have both , mcd have a little down fall they are front end heavy and alway well 98% land front first, the front diff etc is heavy ok when fuel tank is full, but when it starts to get empty, there less weight at the back, love my mcd RR evo3, but i have never wheelied it, like my truck or marder, said earlier heavy front end ,fg's are making cheaper plastic now so balls,(rose joints rip out now when jumping, mcd on rough ground eat bearings need replacing every 2/3 months , but then again my track is butal not astro turf like on u tube,, thats not off road, anybody in machester m24 get in touch.. Regards JK

i had a marder for 4yrs or so and changed to a mcd evo 3 last year and so glad i did what a car,you have only had yours for a little while so i would persivere with it but thats just me,i used 2 large futaba sail servos for the steering on my mcd and does the job fine like somebody said if you get a mcd make sure you use lots of locktite on wheel nuts as they just come of and you loose the wheel hexes if you not carefull and they aint cheep as i found out i changed the nuts to to nylocks which helped too

When I used to run nitros,I would spray paint the hexes flourescent orange. If I happened to lose a wheel, the hexes would be easy to find because they would really stand out.
