Go to User CP at the upper left corner. Then go to Edit Avatar, select Use Custom Avatar and you can either upload the image from a hosting site, or just pull it directly from your PC. After you select the image, click Save Changes.
Also, keep in mind...
"The maximum size of your custom image is 80 by 80 pixels or 19.5 KB (whichever is smaller)."
