Rob, 1 quick question. I saw this Dark Soul axle extender for the Baja 5B. Is there any way I can make this work on my XT? I remember you were selling an XT to Baja adapters, so I thought if I buy the adapters from you would I then be able to install this Dark Soul axle extenders? I love the idea of extending the width of my wheels by at least an inch and make it more stable during hard cornering. Thanks.

what did you do after you installed the adapters? reason I want to install the adapters is bcoz' I want to mount a taller wider tires on my XT. I thought it's a bit low to the ground and Dark soul axle extender will make your width wider by an inch. I do a lot of hard cornering and often times I get a rollover during sharp turns. Did you get any height increase after you installed it? Are there any Baja tire/rim combo that is taller & wider than the stock XT wheels? it's hard when you live close to GOD :D there are no hobby shop here, so if I want to look at any hopup parts I have to settle with vids or pics on the net which often times can't really tell you much. You live in the lower 48, so have you seen or what Baja wheel would you recommend to get if I wanted to get a taller wider wheel? Thanks bro!!
 
Well I installed some Pro-Line wheels that were designed for HPI and they sit very well...


it is wider than the STD and looks really nice

man, I'd give my right arm to make this work. These tires would look bad on an XT or MT. The guy who owns this bug said the rims and tire bead had to be modified to make them work together. He used FG rims. Do you guys know if Rob's XT to HPI adapters would allow the FG rims to be mounted to our truck? The tires is 10" tall and the store claimed it's the biggest tire available for RC trucks.

FG rims are square drive already, so they will fit on the XT with no mods. You will then find out that those rims and tires are too heavy for the XT suspension set up.


If you want the Monster Truck, the MT is the way to go.

I'm definitely getting one (MT) now that I sold my 5B kit which was a bad move all bcoz' I wanted to try a 62cc motor. I wrote to the guy who makes those "demolisher" tires

He said he can make a new version of this tire, but he's asking me to gather some info for him. Here's what he said (or wrote)


we can make a new version that is universal


if you can, try to gather all the info


a. are there different size of tires (inner bead) from FG


b. what hex or mount


c. do people want heavy duty or light weight wheel

but I told him I definitely want it light weight wheel.
 
MCD Cheetah wheels are the biggest I've ever seen. They are slightly less diameter than those wheels but much wider. They are very light too so you don't have all that rotating mass. They also use the HPI hex.
 
I found those wheels awhile back and Man they are sick i want some on my MT I don think the XT can handle them. atleast not without lots of AL hopups


Power if he makes some LMK i will buy some. We need them to fit on Desprado wheel :D
