Got my spare CY 26cc in my KM now ( thanks to Oliver for a good price on it! ) due to not being able to find the right clutch carrier for the crankshaft in my 29cc engine.

Glad to say it starts from cold so much better than my 29. 2 pulls with choke, 3 pulls choke off and it was running for its first ever start, new engine. Sounds a bit different too, it does the 2 stroke type popping at idle more than my 29 did.

My mate pulled it apart to fit a copper head gasket and Rage RC ceramic bearings so hopefully it will run well for a good time yet. Cant wait to get it out, hoping the weather is dryer tomorrow so I can test it out :)

I have also heard a difference with the Km motors compared to the others. I'm not a big fan of their Walbro carb copy. Just not as easy to tune IMO. I could never get that sweet spot figured out with it. It could however just be the entire 23cc motor set up I had as well?

I found it wasnt too hard to tune, and it performed well against my 2 friends cy 26cs, the only problem for me was the bad starting from cold.

It also used quite a bit more fuel than the 26s

Yours was the 29cc right? That was a newer KM motor then what mine was. Maybe they changed the carb a bit or the head matched better to the motor then my 23 head?
