Bad gear in rear diff

Well I broke some teeth off of a gear in my rear diff today because my left rear wheel is just spinning freely. Is there special anything I should do since i'm going to have the rear diff off? Upgrades? Also, do I have any choices in gears (other manufactures) anything stronger?

You're right, It was the diff cup. Easy fix...
