Ok so i went to go run my mt, and i charged the reciver battery before i ran, and even my volt meter says that its fully charged so i know its not a dead battery or low even, but when i start it, it runs for like 5 seconds then shuts down and goes into fail safe mode with the brake all the way on and unresponsive. I have a killerbee kill switch on it as well. It only happends when i start it, cause when i turn everything on but don't start, its fine and i can control everything but its when i start it is when it kills it and goes into failsafe mode. Any sudgestions? i ran it last weekend with no problems so i don't know why its doing this now.

Are your transmitter batteries fresh? If they are, try a rebind. Also, you really don't need the failsafe if you have a kill switch. If the rebind doesn't help, try a new spark plug and make sure all the screws are tight. A bad spark plug or a loose screw can cause interference.

ya im just charging the remote batteries so ill try it after they're charged. i was kinda thinking that was the problem but i thought they'd still be good. im only useing the failsafe cause it comes with the stock radio cause i haven't got a reciver for my 3pm yet. once theyre done charging ill try it. its getting too late to run it but ill try and see if it runs for more than 5 secs.

The stock fail safe module itself is junk. Toss it out.

The receiver that comes with the XT/XB (probably the MT too, but I've only played with these models personally) has a built in fail safe (sets full brake) on the throttle channel.

The killerbee can't be plugged into a channel with a fail safe built in, it will go nuts. The stock receiver does have a ch3/bind slot, but there's no chan 3 switch on the controller. This leaves the killerbee v2 with a splitter installed on the steering channel as the option for running stock radio/receiver.

This is how I have it on my XT, and it works perfect.

Also I don't know if this matters, but did you install the kill switch leads onto the correct positive/negative post of the engine coil? On mine negative (black) was on the outside, and positive (red) was on the inside.
