Just wanted to say that I use a small plastic bag, put it over the filter, pull the cord a few times & the engine fires right up. I live in a warmer area so that helps too. I just wanted to give credit to whomever I got the idea from, I don't recall who. I just rem seeing it posted. I have a 990 on my xt & my son's xt is a stock carb. I don't use the choke on his anymore & mine doesn't have a choke. Both of ours pop off super easy using this method. So thank you whoever you are! Great idea! That was some forward thinking!
