Hi All,

Got my Baja 5B 2.0 a couple of days ago, the break-in was smooth, except for some idealing issues, that were fixed with ideal screw during engine break in.

After the break in on my second tank, i took the baja for some outdoor fun, all went well, but after around 15min, if i put the car to stop, it will not ideal and the engine would turn off, if i am accelerating all is fine. I am using a Zenoah 26cc engine. should retune the ideal screw? Is this normal.

Cheers

try turning the low speed screw in a little at a time and see if that helps. as u do this ur rpms will go up so u may have to lower the idle with the idle screw

Thanks for all the help,This is what i did to get an ideal ..
1- I cleaned the car, engine, pull starter, shocks.. etc.
2- filled the tank
3- placed the car on a table
4- started the car.. and it ideal'd ...... !!!! increases the rev... and it ideal'd ....
The question is .. why it did not ideal in the first place.. I have no clue .. any suggestions

Cheers

too low on fuel maybe?

NOTE: it will take at least 1 gallon of gasoline to get your engine broke in....
so your tune adjustments will keep changing a little.....adjust the low screw for good rpms then set the adle screw...up a little....Now make other adjustment with the high adjust screw.....you want a light brown color on the spark plug..ake a couple high speed ...Make your adjustments once the engine has warmed up......Now make a couple
high speed runs....stop the engine asap..Do not let idle....take out spark plug look at the color....If blackish..your to rich..put back in and adjust the high screw in a tad 1/8 turn
make acouple more high speed runs....kill engine....look at plug....Keep doing this little by little until light brown in color.......when your light brown in color....that's it your done

Your idle screw should be set by turning it in until it just hits the wing. As soon as it does go a 1/4 turn and start there.
Good luck on your tune, and have FUN!:)

Keep an eye on your plug. Make sure its not running too lean.

The only item I would say to improve is to believe your in the Baja and how your head would be banging back and forth from hitting the gas on and off.
Try learing to ease in and out of the throttle. That will help minimize stress on the clutch, outdrives, gears, shafts exc.
Other then that looks AWESOME!

Thanks ....Will keep all your advice in mind.... LOL ... I can Imagine myself in the driver seat already.. .

CHEERS
:boat:

Never had this problem with the stock CY that came in my 5b SS. I can get it warm give it full throttle from idle with out a problem. :cool2: Takes off so well the front end will raise up just a little.
