I’ve checked the gears. I’ve took the transmission apart. Inspected the clutches. Inspected the clutch bell. Checked spur gear. Engine is tuned correctly. Everything looks fine, but will not go over 5mph.

It was working fine and then just stopped moving. Engine was still running, but would not move. I took the spur gear cover off and noticed the small gear that attaches to the clutch bell was loose. I took it all apart and inspected it. Then put it all back together. It still would not move. Since then I’ve went through everything I mentioned in the first paragraph.

I can’t figure it out. I need some help.

Only time it's happened to me was when clutch bolts loosened on 5t and we're hitting bell... After you start assembly maybe fire up without bell on, be careful, watch clutch to see if it's spinning then work your way out and check everything as you assemble.

Hey Mick.
I got it running again! I screwed both the high speed and low speed needles all the way in and then started re-retuning it. Turns out it was way out of tune. How it got that way I have no idea, but at least it’s fixed.
May have been the temperature change.

Thanks for offering to help me with the problem. Sorry it took so long. I’ve been busy.

Glad to see your back in action and simple fix. My baja/red baron almost got me at start of season but l went with the simple route.....change spark plug......almost always something simple. Enjoy your rc season!!!!
