Any suggestions on reinforcing the buggy front. Those aftermarket Chinese chassis braces seam to not line up perfectly. Any pics or other brands anyone might recommend. Is the front chassis brace even worth it they seam heavy to.

Thank y'all

After 12 years or so, I'm still rocking the original HPI chassis on 3 rigs. I have nose dived a bunch of times over the years. I never did go flat out into a wall or tree. But I did hit a fence post on a beach(never have your thong/ass radar on while bashing), luckily I had some off brand steel sand rail cage. The only damage was to the front of said cage. I took some measurements of the chassis and compared it to the other rig, still good. It seems the only bent chassis, I do have are from the bulk lost of used parts I buy every now and then. IMO, it would be a good investment, but then again I usually run my rigs where it is free of walls/large trees.

I opted for stainless steel. It is heavy.

As others suggested, The Scorpion Unlimited and I-RC under chassis brace would be good too. I-RC is Made of 6082-T6 alloy, much lighter weight than stainless. Not sure on the Scorpion part as it does not state alloy. I would assume it is the same or similar.

FullForce 7075-T6 aluminum chassis brace would be a good one as well. 7075 is a bit stronger than 6061 or 6082 alloy. It may be a tad bit heavier than the 6082 alloy. Better option than stainless for weight.

I was thinking of just keeping It stock. Killer bee kill switch & no major ramps. Probably have to install something when the boy's start to play with it. I just run it to hear it & let the neighbors know I haven't moved yet😁. It's funner than running the weed wacker. Want be playing with it much when spring finally gets her as my main hobby it fishing. Excuse me Family, fishing, then 1/5 RC🤔

Thank y'all so much for the replies.

I know this isn't what you asked but get a Kraken Chassis man. I've been running one for a year and its held up strong. Everyone here can confirm I ran full throttle into a metal baseball bench and the chassis did not bend. Its slight flex saved me hundreds of times even when I gave the controller to a friend and he 20+ cartwheeled it into the woods. Its well worth the money man.
