I found my pics from when I slammed my Baja into a tree. Passenger side impact at maybe 25mph under hard acceleration. It cost a lot of $ to fix. Some parts I got on ebay to save $ . Parts ordered main chassis $82, arms $19, tie rods $18, bulkhead $15, skidplate $13, upper chassis brace $10. The steering was jammed/bent in one direction and the servo was buzzing like crazy but amazingly in the steering dept. all it needed was tie rods. The front kickup angle is only supposed to be 17.5-18 degrees but the tree twisted and bent it to more like 35. If the chassis hadn't twisted but just bent straight I think I could have punded it out. The C-clip that hold the front wheel on did its job. The wheel just popped off with the hub still attached. A new Cclip is all it needed.

Did the same thing on a concrete parking lot curb at almost full speed. I had a TR upper plate and Diego lower and it saved my chassis plate. I only had to replace the upper and lower arm, hinge pin, and shock shaft. I thought the Baja was bulletproof after that and it turns out that I started to break things in the rear from front end collisions. After busting a $270 DS billet crankcase and a billet fan shroud from a simple cartwheel, I have semi-shelved the Baja. It's pretty ridiculous the break an engine component from a cartwheel. Anyways, enough of my Baja bitching for today. I think I'll go out in the garage later and continue to kick it around the garage. Whenever it's in the way when working on the Rampage, I kick it to the other side of the garage with a "MOVE BIYATCH!". My wife thinks I'm nutz for beating the crap outta a $2000 toy. I'm just taking my money back outta it's ass by using it as a stress relief.
