Hiya all
Ross mentioned in a thread that the HPI Baja filter is best on a KM,can anyone tell me why? as I've just looked at the stock and its a two stage jobby. If you read this Ross can you explain or if there is an after market filter thats better than the HPI one can anyone put a link up?
Also when we went out bashing on Sunday Jacko's Baja had the LED lights mounted in the light pods, does anyone know where I can get these cheapish.
Cheers dudes.
J.

if its 2 stage filter just oil the inner one mate, think ross lives in a hotter climate to us we don,t see mutch dust just wet and mud, rc pitstop in southport had those light kits cheaper than rrp, give him a call he,s a good lad.

I don't oil my outer filter anymore. It was causing problems with tuning. The HPI filter seems to be what everyone is using on alot of trucks. I use them on all my Redcats as well.

Ok Voo.......the clone filters are a reasonably coarse medium designed for good air flow........not so good at keeping out fine dust......but may be ok for you guys in the UK.......since everything there is water logged for the best part of the year:clown:

But here down under in summer, the dust is as fine as talcum powder.

So....I use HPI foams which are much much finer.

I always oil both elements + Outerwares.

Redneck filters are finer still.

Defo keep a good check on your shock pistons though.......from lots and lots of STROKING action.....the adjuster on the pistons move about a bit and close off the holes.......resulting in the centres being punched out of them.

Go for HPI VVC-HD pistons which are thicker overall and non adjustable........they work much like an engine piston, but with holes.

The stocker works great. Get the TGN Redneck of the outer filter and keep the stock inner core.
Through the years, i've tried allot of different combos and that is the one that's kept the most crap out.

Also, the Prefilter sleeve is a must.

Have fun bashing this weekend

Chris
