Ok guys i'm about to spend some change and do some upgrades to my race runner . I own a 5b, redcat rampage TT and a Race Runner. If there is anybody out there who constantly eat baja ss and 5bs for lunch and dinner in speeds shoot outs and other areas, please let me know your set up. I know that there is'nt a magic bullet noncompromise setup. But i know some where in the gearing and engine set up i can bully a few guys on the tracks and dunes. thnx in advance.

I have a short list but here it is :

1. engine
2. gears
3. pipe
4. extras ( i love getting big air)

Nahh not reeely just like keepin up with the pak . Ok what the hell you're right . tryin to hurt em. common guys i know some one out there has that killer evo rr buggy set up. whats the secret combination ?:cup-3:
 
What are you trying to beat the HPI Baja SS in? 4wd will always be slower than 2wd due to added weight and power loss due to drive terrain. Going in a straight line it will be hard to beat the HPI Baja. As for handling on a track I think you shouldn't have any problems any way you look at it. 4WD is king. Jumping and bashing is also going to be hard to beat the Baja. That car is a beast and takes a beating.
