Hi guys, steering on this has really stumped me over last few weeks. Really poor steering when under its own weight. Thought it was a steering servo issue replaced with a Savox 0236, charged battery reading 6.0v (new nimh), had a TR servo saver now replaced that for a standard item, replaced turnbuckles for standard and still next to nothing. EPA are currently turned up to 100. Nothing binding from the servo onwards double and triple checked this everything moves freely

I’ve attached some pics showing the difference between on ground and off its own weight. Any help will be appreciated almost at a lost cause with this

why are you on channel 3 on your transmitter fella?
in the pics you have 100% each way but on channel 3,
steering should be either channel 1 or 2, i think its 1 if i remember right,
go into settings for channel 1 and see where your end points etc are, and adjust for that channel (y),

That’s a good spot, but it my channel 3 is the killswitch. It was flashing away so armed it. Pics were just to show the lack of steering, the epa on channel 1 (steering) is also up at 100 on both sides

ah right fella(y),
it does look like your steering angles are like total crap though,
have you tried tightening up the servo saver screw to tighten the saver spring up a tad more?
thescrew in question is in the centre of the saver and you can tighten it through the small hole in the y plate,
keep an eye on how far you go with it though cos too far and the screw threads will bind on the main chassis,
one thing i will say is don't get too obsessive about the baja steering when its under its own weight, they have always been bad that way but turn fine when they're under way, but yours looks bad when no weight is on there,

I’ve just set the saver up to 13mm travel as per the manual. How would you go about changing the steering angle of the arm? Or if anyone has a pic of there’s to give me an idea. But yeah I’m not too fussed in terms of how much turn in there is but there’s next to none going on

heres a few pics of one of my bajas fella, steering angles are what you should expect, i added a nyloc nut and longer screw to the underside of the servo steering link to reduce the angle a little as well,
hope the pics help you out (y),
just to add, the steering angle is with the radio on etc, not just turned the steering by hand if that makes sense :D,
also its a 6v nimh set up using a stock hpi metal geared steering servo,
i really think you just have a setting wrong on your transmitter somewhere, something you maybe overlooked or sommat,
we all do it at some point,
maybe go back and redo your endpoints/travel etc,
my radio is a futaba 4pls, just trying to give you as much info as i can fella (y),

Interesting, your servo looks further back than mine, I was under the impression the 0236 was a direct fit with the hpi battery box.
yeh i noticed that on your pics at the top of the thread fella,
you got me curious so i had a measure of a few different servos i have,
few pics below, i didnt have a savox 0236 but have savox 0235, 0241 and 0240, cant see the 0236 being much different tbh,
but basically all are the same dimensions except the horn spline gear on the 0240 and 0241 is 4mm taller,
i do know that km servo is not quite as tall as the rest and uses a different servo bracket thats interchangeable on the km and hpi battery boxes,
is your baja a genuine hpi? if not then maybe it has the km servo bracket,
