Why's that?
J.

Ok...the clips chewed up the alloy on the cage.....can't get to the RX switch with em on..(switch is on top of radio box now coz of the chassis infill panels)

Can't get to the choke or primer bulb or the carb needles without having them hinged........to have them hinged means the catches have to be reasonably easy to release..... in turn causing them to flap about like a bee's wings when you are running it...

You can't see them with the dust out here anyway..

I'll be okay without them.....

Yeah..they still go on but the dust gets in between the clip and the cage and wears it away like sandpaper..........I like shiny bits not sand papered bits..

here is your solution to needing access with windows on gents

closed

Open

notice i used to body panel (door panels on cars ect..) instead of 2 bolts. Easy access in seconds!!!! especially to the chargeing jack and front filter.
