balldrives are good for off road matey, the leo race has them out of the box but they are quite expensive mate

glad sombodys asked this im still running dogbones on my bug ive done everything to it all alloy carbon running a oddified 23cc with a vrc pipe and ecu my dogbone have lasted over a year no problms are ball drives the way to go and will they work any better for the extra cash they cost

i got a set of balldrives in my box but the rubber boots are exspencive and don't last long running offroad so people say . think i will put them on see if they last

did you see hypers baja yesturday (the yellow one) he has some plastic guards on his rear arms to keep all the crap away from the shafts, see if you could make sumat like that and the may last longer mate

Hi Foxy I still use my dogbones. I am still waiting for an manufacturer who want to make CVD drives for the buggy. Elcon models is in my area maybe they can make them.

with the 2 speed on my semi, the spur cut the boots on the ball drive up. I know moo had them on his fg baja and said they don't allow for as much travel and had problems with his. I never had the problem running on road

I remember the FG boots being very similar to a VW part. Can't remember where the part numbers are but remember looking and seeing they were almost the same as the FG boots.

Ball drives are much better than dogbones hands down. No play at all and smooth. Plus you can get the balls themselves at a bearing store for $0.10 a ball. Elcon have some good boots for them as well.
