Bartolone transfer plates

I've been having issues trying to get my motor running right, so yesterday I installed my new Bart 32cc tuned unsilenced pipe and went testing. I've installed Bart transfer plates a few weeks ago, so any way started her up and before I ran I spray starting fluid by the carb (all good) the by the plate and it almost died. (Well all done for today) went home and removed motor and unbolted plate and pulled it off by hand. I used yahma bond. Nothing I use bonds to the Bart plate. Has anybody had the same issue and if so what is the fix. Put stock plates on and runs like a raped ape.
