Ahh the good old DDM bleeding ears sound! lol. Engine sounds crisp in the videos and I'm amazed how much drive you actually get on that snow! :)
 
Man I'm "jonesing" for that sound again! I love the dog. Only thing, I had to keep my dog away since he kept trying to bite the tires. :lol:
 
hey clubin nice mod you got your self there but have you got any small chain hanging around if you just could get your self some nice snow chains made just imagine the amount of grip you would have then and with the dom man then you will be laughing and the dog wont have a chance lol

I tried to make up a set of chains. I hoped it would work but it didn't the spinning tires just throw the chains off. I had to put a bunch of 1/4 head screws into the tire, the studs work excellent. I would like to allso do the front, but the tires are way to expensive and I have a spare set, so when the snow melts the spares go on the front and the Hard compound tires go back on the rear. Without the studs it wouldn't go anywhere.

Show me a picture of your chains mounted...Maybe I can see a way you can use them..
I use to make them all the time when I lived in Wis...AKASlawhammer
 
Sorry, I didn't even take a picture, but the rear lower shock mount is so close to the tire that it would also catch there. If I am going to go in the deep snow I will go with my Redcat or my MCD MT. In theory what I made up should have been perfect. The chains just can't handle the rpm and the torque from the tires trying to grab. Studs work out better for me.

i tried to run mine on the snow there recently,not a chance..bogged down straight away lol

i see you were going for the dog there in one part of it lol

fair play to you,an addict must get his fix some way with the auld rc drug lol
 
Ok clubin..I understand....
Trip ...good find..on the snow chains...If you first pause the movie clip and look at the shock cord..holding the chain in the side center....that's how I use to make them as well
never had any issue's with chain...I have made them with out the shock cord,,,
Just drawing every thing in to the center titer ..making the chain titer on the tire lugs..so no slippage of the chain under load....Any way clubin your having a good time..AKASlawhammer
