Batteries in series

Hi guys,

this may be a daft question but when wiring 2x 4s batteries in series, is it better to connect the batteries individually to the harness and then connect to the ESC or can I leave the series harness connected to the ESC and plug in and remove the batteries individually?

The wires are the constant that never changes so those need to be hard wired in the correct configuration. The batteries being plugged in is the only moving pieces to the puzzle. And yes no harm or danger when plugging in the batteries 1 at a time, when the last battery connects you will get a slight bright blue spark as the circuit completes itself.
