I have driven a few times with robitronic 5000mah 4s 50c batteries. There are two that becomes a set of 8s.
Today after a few 60mph runs i hit lipo cutoff and took out a very hot battery from the car, that had mealted partially around one of the cells. Other battery was ok, just warm.

Is it possible that the castle xl 2 with 2028 size motor tries to pull so much current from batteries that one failed? One cell has been in 30mohm for a little time. I know it is too high resistance. All other cells 2-4 mohm. Is 50c on high quality battery not enough for this kind of use or was the battery faulty?
What batteries should i buy that can survive those speedruns. Many seconds on full load on a very heavy car.
Car is mcd r4 fifth scale.
