Hi there guys, I've got a couple of battle switches to fit and the instructions are pants. Has anyone fitted one to a 1/5th and can give me a idea how to wire them up and where to put it so you can see the led?
Matt.

hi mate yeah if you take the cover off the side of the engine and then take off the coil, disconnect the standard kill switch wires and then connect the new red and black wires (from the b/s) if the wires have a piggy back connectors fitted reconnect the standard switch, route the wires through the gromet where the plug wire goes and refit the the coil (make sure the gap is no larger than a piece of thin card) then refit the cover. you then route the wire as neet as you can up to the receiver box, then drill a small hole in the bottom of the box and push the wires through. you then need to connect the 2 wires to the battle switch then connect the receiver plug into the 3rd channel slot in your receiver job done :cool2::cool2: hope thats more clearer for you buddy :cool2:

forgot to say i've just put the led in the top of my receiver box you'll be able to see it mate as they're really bright, i have a fiberglass shell on mine and i can see it through the holes drilled for the front window ;)

i'd post some pics mate but it's stripped at the mo waitin for some new bits!!!!

Cheers Charlie, which ports do the red and black go in on the switch and my led is built into the base of the switch pcb, so I was thinking of having the switch outside.

is it the switch off ebay??????

all i did was connect the red wire to the outside termenal and the black to the inside and it worked fine!!!! if you want the led outside you might have to extend the wires so i just drilled a hole slightly smaller than the led, pushed it through the lid of the box then glued it from behind :cool2:

you can cut a piece of your radio box out and glue some lexan in, then place the switch below that to see the light. on my semi, I put the wires in then some shoe goo on the ends to waterproof it and glued it to the side of the fan shroud.

I think the pico switch has the ability to add a external led.
Thanks for the links guys, I might have a go at mounting it outside and covering it in Goop.
Matt.
