Hi all

Merry Christmas/Happy New Year.

Santa was very thoughtful this year and sent me a Battleswitch. Santa new that I had a Marder and the importance of the Battleswitch, however he forgot that the instructions to such things can sometimes be a little confusing. To be honest it all looks straight forward enough with no problems other than the final comment on the instruction sheet. Part 8. If using third channel set this to 2P on your radio gear. Refer to your particular transmitter manual. This is essential. The only thing is there is no mention of 2P in my DX3s manual or anything that I can relate to it. Is this something simple that I am overlooking or what.Any ideas.

you have the old large type relay with the battle switch...............

it just means set your 3rd channel rate to work this will be best

set at 100%

K....

Hi

Thanks for that. I have had exactly the same thing said from other DX3s user recently too. Will try it out the weekend. Have checked manual to transmitter but cannot see anything directly related to this (2P). Assume it must be some abbreviation for other transmitter set.

you have to go into the aux channel mode and change the setting to the 2p mode so you have full on or full off postion i have mine set this way but it is hard to get it to work because you have to hold the button till you hear the motor shut off and stop turning if the motor is still turning it might start back up mine has restarted. :w00t:

Hi

Thanks for the replies. I have set it up now so that this device operates with the built in failsafe of DX3s.Have soldered wiring directly to spade connections at existing switch. There was loads of room to enable this and the insulating shrouds housed the additional wiring easily. They almost look as if they were made for additional wiring. Have the best of both now with existing switch still in circuit. Thanks.

i've had the same happen to me, tried to kill it when it was revving high, but because the throttle was jammed open and it was hot it dieseled for about a second, and when I released the kill buton it started up again.

Hi

Noticed that you are experiencing engine restarts after killswitch. My third channel on the DX3s is linked to an actual latching switch rather than a pushbutton. Once switched that is where it remains unlike the remote start switch which I assume should spring retract or at least break contact upon release of pressure. I would think that provided it is wired to latching switch engine would not restart unless as you say when it is running at high revs:confused:
