daz im running the fg 20mm fat shocks there about the best of the old skool shocks,,ive upgraded the pistons to the alloy comp ones and still running stock springs which are just about ok but due to the extra weight the could do with upgrading at some point but it works so alls good
 
@ atom ah i made an offer on them but he wants £85 for them so in the end i just bought the ones from hobbythek for £90 new + black springs all round for about £30, hopefully a major improvement over my stock shox :)

aye i wanted some fat shox (was looking at the mecatech ones but because im using dual shocks i cant go any thicker :(
 
I think I bought mine for £130 3 years ago, even before the truck arrived!!
Similar to Barry, I've upgraded mine with the alloy pistons and threaded shafts top and bottom.

My 1/8 Raminator (LST2 spec) has option Losi shocks with gaiters and socks.
These alloy FG shocks look so good I leave them open, and they get covered!

Just bought a set of 6 brushes for £1.99 delivered which are proving very useful; 2 nylon, 2 brass, 2 steel.

Keith, that's what Elcon say, and they certainly look great.
Similar price at DDM, but you can add the 5% discount.

On a similar note, out of the 8 Comp shocks I have, only one dropped volume, by 2mm !! Don't think that's too bad in 18 months.
I've been through 2 sets of shock bushes in that time as I hammer mine, outside the house!
(No mention of psychotic dogs James please!!)
