Here is a before shot... Awwww, so clean and nice.

Here it is now.... TGN X-Can, HPI Baja air filter setup, JR Z650M throttle, 2xHPI metal gear steering servos, Spektrum RX w/Airtronics M8, Metal gear plate, metal gears, HBZ roll bar, custom front/rear shock tower braces, Phatdad fan cover brace, V1 aluminum arms, arm holder screw mod, HPI 23mm adapters, Proline Desert Rat for 5B, Proline excavator tires on devastator wheels.

Sweet looking truck! I saw your article on rc universe, hope everything is working better for you now. What mods did you have to do to get the phatdad fan cover saver to fit properly?
 
That fan cover saver is only necessary if you use the fan cover for the upper chassis brace mounts like I did. Otherwise there is no strain on it. Having said that, I think I just had to cut some of the length of the PhatDad brace back a bit to work with my mounts.


If your Rampage is stock and you don't run any braces or mounts from the fan cover, it will bolt right up.
 
We are doing a professional video this Saturday for Cow RC. The Rampage will get to prove itself this Saturday.
 
Yes it does. These are the braces I run that I homemade from some 6061 and Baja 5B braces-

Here is the PhatDad cover. This ties the braces together.

Awesome! I ordered myself one of those fan braces, think I will try and do what you did with the braces... great idea!
 
The fan brace is just used to tie the custom braces I made together. If you aren't using the fan cover for a brace, you don't need the PhatDad mount.
