Ok, I did not know it would be this difficult, but the rampage XB I just received brand new comes with SQUAT for manuals .... first....is their a msnual I can download for my redcst rcr-2c radio so I know how to set it up and second...the battery that came with it I assume is for the receiver. How do you know when its plugged into the wall charger when its fully charged or how long it should take ?


Is their a complete manual set I can download somewhere ? I received an engine manual that shows all the engine parts and thats it....


Also, whats the long plastic black tube for ? Geesh, ypu would think for 500 bucks redcat would at least give a newbie manual or something :-)

Thanks, but thats just an exploded parts manual. I am looking for something as to how to setup the radio and charge the receiver battery. Its been plugged in but I have no idea how to tell when its fully charged...all the stock charger has is a red light on the charger. Will it turn green when charged and if so, how long ???

These cars aren't exactly marketed towards newbies. If you truly are a newb, I would seriously urge you to pop your cherry on a 1/10 scale before moving up to a 1/5 scale.
 
I would not say that different stroke for different folks I know many people who start out with 1/5 scale just fine because they don't want the problems of nitro and they love gas and would not drive anything else.
 
Driving skills wise and possibly hurting someone? Oh yeah, 1/10 scale is way more forgiving. That's what I meant. And what nitro problems? None of my nitro cars have ever given me problems.
 
Having to always tune the engine for any weather or temp change only running 12 to 15 min a tank, and ease of use have to fix the small parts on a 1/10 scale can be a pain in the neck compared to fixing 1/5 scale parts. Driving skills its much easier to drive a 1/5 scale then a 1/10 and hurting someone you can do that with any size rc if you can not drive.
 
Lets agree to disagree. I find working on my 1/10 scale very easy. Then again, I know what Im doing, and tuning nitro is second nature to me.
 
I know what I am doing also at one time I had over 30 nitros and right now I have 15 1/5 scales that are mine I fix and sale nitro, electric, and gas rc everyday for a living so I very well know what I am doing. And tuning is very easy for me also but I know for a fact that you have to tune and retune nitro way more then you have to on a gas. I race 1/5 scales every weekend for the last 2 years so I know quite alot about rc.

When I bought mine I contacted the seller and was told to charge the receiver battery for 6 hrs from flat.

I have since learnt that it is approx 1 hr/1000 mha.

Best thing is to get a peak charger and let it do the work.

and besides nitro cars cannot idle for more then a few minutes where a gas car can for hours.

I could not be bothered with Nitro
 
Let the RX battery charge for about 8 hours on the stock trickle charger and you should be fine..the light is always red so keep track of charge time. You will get about 1 1/2 - 2 hours of bash on a charge.
