Hey guys,

Just got my Begitec TYPE 6 Wheels today and started mounting them.

Took some pics..

The guy from the www.begitec.de website (Jochen) was very helpful in helping me select the wheels / beadlocks and answered all my questions. Great guy to deal with. Answers all emails right away. Shipped out my package the next day. Delivery to USA from Germany was flawless! Highly recommended for any1 who is interested in billet wheels.

I love the billet wheels ,they give a real shine to your RC car. But on a negative note, one good hit and you may as well throw it away.Unlike plastic the billet alloy doesn't bend back!:( Mega bucks down the drain.

Very nice.
Voo's point is quite valid, that's why I've fitted MCD tyres on my MT, thus giving a huge overlap, which should save the truck from NEARLY any impact.

I agree with that fact that the billet wheels have little forgiveness for dents etc.. But you also have to take into account what applications you are going to be using the baja.

I mostly run on flat on-road conditions so there should not be any issues with the billet wheels in such conditions.

If you are a basher, then obviously the billet wheels are not the best choice.

just my 2 cents..

If you mean the wheel mount, the plastic 'squares' (for FG and I know they're hexes on HPI) can crack/break with the torque of these motors, despite the ring reinforcement.
This was one reason/justification I went alloy on my FG's with no problems so far.
I may be that if you accelerate/brake/jump hard a lot, that you wear your hexes more quickly.
