avoid using your rig in a dusty environment i learned this lesson the hard way. the dust gets inside front and rear bulkhead and start to damage the belt and all moving parts inside so just a heads up guys

yep its definetly not 100% sealed. don't know about wear on the belt though. ive had a 4WD fg baja for over 80 tanks now, run in severe dust, water, mud and sand and the only wear ive come accross is tensioner and pulley bearings. also ive upgraded the pulleys to alloy ones coz when the bearings fail they take the pulleys with them.

when i assembled the conversion kit on my beetle, after completing the diff cases i just used a thin piece of tank tape and went around the joining faces of each diff casing sealing them off (starting from underneath and working its way around the front on to the top). i know it sounds cheap, but it works! i took it apart a little while back to have a check on things and it was just like it was when it was built :)

i left the holes open, thought they may be reuqired for ventilation or something but if it works fine with the holes sealed I might seal them up myself!
