best glue for gluin hpi inserts??

I don't think we need to use glue mate, many wrap duct tape around the insert before the tyre goes on, then use inner/outter beads and screw the tyre on.
 
I don't really care for the generic duct tape as the adhesive doesn't really stick well over time. I prefer the construction grade or military spec(100 mph tape) tape. Like Gorilla tape. I forgot exactly which model I bought, but it was advertised as having the longest years of durability. Also the cost was 2-3 times more than the generic duct tape.
 
No matter which tape you use make sure you heat the tape after installation with a hair dryer. This will activate the glue and make it 100 times stickier!!

charlie, are you referring to the foam strips you use in the front tires? if so, here is what i do. place the foam inside of the tire. it will compress and therefore fit rather nice and tight. then, slide the wheel into the tire and run the beads over the edges of the rim. fasten your headlocks and you are good to go racing. no fuss, no mess!:cool:
