Thanks LightForce.
I made a post in a different thread about the difference in speed between the 5ive T and the HPI 5SC. Is it me or the videos I am watching of the 5ive T appears that it is slower then the HPI? I would hate to spend the money on this if it is much slower. If it is a little slower, I can deal with that with the power loss due to it being a 4x4.
Thanks again LightForce for the quick and informative info.

I am having a hard time locating Shermer Hobbie. Do you have more info for them? I would like to contact them to see when this will be in stock.

Go with Losi I had baja for 3 years it`s faster then Losi in straight linedue to RWD and 8 pounds difference. But baja will break on you more and eat tires faster and handle corners not as good as Losi.
Go for LargeScaleRC good price free shipping and customer service.
Shermer Hobbies is out of stock and I know there is couple guys in line from Losi forum still waiting for their cars.

LARGESCALERC are up to $1699. I can wait if there will be a sale. LOL After discount - $1,614.99.
So far I have been lucky with the HPI, no broken parts and I installed different rear tires that have helped out a whole lot.
I will keep an eye on there site waiting for the price to drop.
Thanks again for all the help.

LSF coupon code Pssst don`t tell anyone:lol:

I spoke to them on Monday. From what I understand. There is a huge demand that Losi cannot keep up with, the warehouse is always out of stock and Stormer only receives 4 at a time. I would not be surprised if the vendor are on a limit to how many they can purchase. I am on the list. I was told I should see one next week. Four were coming in and they were sold. I was number two on the next list. I am no rush, I have the HPI to keep me busy. LOL

Did you pay for it?

I found one at a local hobby shop, I'm gonna see if he will do a price match or at least get close to online pricing.

*Went to check out the local 5ive-T, the guy showing it did not have the authority to change pricing but he told me it has been sitting there for 2 months, I will call back and talk to the manager.

BTW the 5ive-T is a awesome sight in person, it actually looks like a 1/4 scale to me.

I hope they will match it or come close. The MAP on it is $1,599. Normally a shop will not go below since they are not allowed to go below that.

They will charge me when it is in stock.
Now I see the HPI Flux. Now I am wonder if I should get that or still go for the 5ive T.
I have seen the Losi up close, amazing is all I can say. First thing I noticed were the huge shocks. LOL
I am sure the HPI will be the same price as the LOSI. Why would it be more or even less. LOL
What is worse, there are no 1/5 tracks near me. It is a toy for now till there is a track near by.
The body on my 5SC appears to have been dropped out of a plane from just running in my back yard. I think the roll overs and the cold weather is not helping.
The lowest price replacement body was ebay. I would hate to spend over $100 for a body that will not last long. I know, stop rolling over and doing summer salts. :-)

Mate, what can I say?
Nice selection of vehicles and nice that you have enough 'private dirt' to run them on!!
Not sure where I'd go myself. I do respect HPI, but I REALLY LIKE Losi!!
Unfortunately $100 for one of these bodies is cheap, so I suppose it's time to consider options .....
Whichever of the 2 you go for is great. Personally, unless there's a noise problem, or you like midnight bashing, then I'd go for the 5ive-T.

Al.

I love my 5ive. I have redcat rampage mt and a baja 5t and would sell the other 2 in a heart beat over the losi.. hands down twice the truck.... $1599 on ebay.. I got mine locally for 1500 out the door...

Seeing that I will have to pay 6% sales tax he will definitely have to give me a great deal for me to take it off his hands, I will not pay over $1520 anyway it goes.
