I searched on here but couldnt find my answer. Whats the Best single speed onroad gear ratio setup? I'm running 16/48. Need more. Want upstairs w/o losin off the line.

all depends

I think the answer to this is trial and error, usually road use would be 44t downwards, but its all going to depend on wheel size, power output ect, On my marder if i had a standed exhaust on it will not pull past a 46x18 ratio, but as i use samba pipe it changes all options, it will very comfortably zip me about on a 44 x 20 ratio off road, buy plastic gears to find your medium, then up grade to steel once you've found your level playing field, good luck

Kause,
My on-road FG came with 24/40 ratio and I am running a 23cc Zenoah. But, it is also an on-road and has less resistance than an off road. A good rule of thumb i always go by is, when you change your pinion gear, you will see more difference than if you change your spur gear. ;)

Nice. I am playing with a 2 speed in my truck. I have a ton of gears to change around. close ratio sure makes it climb fast. the 2 speed with the one way is less drag and rolls free. you'll like it a lot

I got the on road 2 speed so hopefully i get a lot. Plus i won the DDM Dom. Top End Pipe for 97 on ebay. Next is the 813 carb.

He's on the right track.
but a bit too late for this season as it will be ending soon.
Think of it as an early head start for next season!

You will still need to buy a dremel and start cutting if you wanna compete with the top racers there.

Work hard this winter because i already started come hard next year to beat me .
