Brand new KM baja 5B & wanted to know what should I change first on it ? I have the 23cc one that's orange ! I see that the Orange arms aren't that good at all. I thought they might be some what like the RPM's or something, but there not.

1more thing, best/cheapest Bigbore kit to upgrade for my engine that will go right on without any Mods...... Hook me up my R/C brothers & sisters !

Best gearing setup for bashing/pavement runs too ?

In my personal opinion, you should focus on reliability and protective bits first, and worry about the cool stuff later. A really hot motor isn't going to help you if you have a run away, or don't have your suspension sorted, or enough traction to put all that power to the ground. THE very first thing you should do IMHO, is pick up a killer bee killswitch system to protect not only your car, but any people that might be around should you have a run away. After that, outerwears or the like for the pullstart, air filter, and crank case. And some way to keep some of the dirt / grass / muck out of the inside of the car; like windows and chassis covers.

Shock towers will probably be the first thing to go. Upgrade to metal braces both front and rear. Surprisingly, the arms seem to be quite strong, I would leave them be then upgrade to RPM arms when they do break. Shock limiting cables are also a nice and cheap upgrade. I also wasn't thrilled with the stock springs and just upgraded to the DDM HD springs and put on some shock covers and changed the oil while I was at it. I think I've got a pretty bulletproof suspension now, which seems to be the biggest weakness in these cars.

+1 to the killswitch and outerwears. Required upgrades for every baja.

Run it for a little while and get to know it before you go messing around with headkits and gearing.

the pullstart itself might be worth getting one with the collar around the pawl. mine come without one, stripped it and bent the washer on 2nd tank. got a new one with pawl collar built onto it, and after 3 more tanks, no probs at all, works flawlessly so far.

Be alot easier to point you in the right location if you could update your location. https://www.largescaleforums.com/showthread.php?t=5865

What model/ver is it? I would tear it completely down and rebuild it. Like we did - KM REVIEW Changing out the electronics, oils, battery etc. From there get a kill switch and run it until parts break and upgrade as you go.
1st item will be a good tuned pipe for power. The 23 will feel like the 29 with a pipe on it.
PIPE REVIEW You will always need a pipe.
Then run it a bit more.
Then get a head upgrade. If you have the KM motor that is one piece I would just buy a whole new motor when you upgrade.
I would say - Sky is the limit with this model. Have fun and take it a step at a time. It will keep it new feeling forever.:D

take off the pullstart and see if it has the collar around pawl, if not buy one off ebay, or from favorite store. mine stripped on 2nd tank, didnt have collar, goit one now that does and 3 tanks later, no issues. works great.

so i would make that up there near top priority of things to get, reason:
if the pullstart strips, you aint startin the engine, no start, then no run.

so a bee and a new starter top things, the radio and servos, then suspension, or suspension then radios and servos. depends on quality of that radio, mine come with a upgraded radio not usually sent with the trucks.

so its slightly bettter but im still upgrading to a 4pks and 5755 and 7955 servos .
