I have a 5B and a 5T and wanting a 1/5 or 1/6th scale monster truck. For the money what is my better choice. The FG looks good and a new RTR at DDM is cheaper than a 5T. A couple of nice used ones for sale here and RCU too. Is the Redcat MT any count? Seems like I heard they had some problems when they first came out. Is the MCD 1/5th and the FG 1/6th scale? Is the 4WD conversion worth the extra?

Based on what I've read,the Redcat is the best bang for the buck as a basher and apparently the quality is only getting better.Parts availability and upgrades are also at the top.I've been wanting to buy something new for a while now and have been somewhat undecided.For the price of the Redcat,I may buy a pair for my son and I instead of just one FG or MCD.

Well put Frank, I have a Redcat and a FG and a MCD, the Redcat is by far the best basher, best suspention, and the parts are dirt cheap. If I am going out bashing my Redcat is coming if I am going out racing the MCD's are coming. I love bashing my FG MB Pro too, it is bulletproof. But for the price Redcat is the best buy, granted a few things need to be done to it but none of us leave them stock anyway. lol

ya don't worry about that Hotel. there was a fruity job on the forum causing issues. its being handled.
 
hmmmm. odd. i have the redcat as well. its a blast but does need some tlc out of the box. nothing major and all cheap stuff. the 4wd is awsome and it handles way better then an fg..
 
ya the mt is larger then the fg. i think the tt is a great platform. its pretty durable campared to the mt version.. its all in the huge tires. makes it heavy and bulky.. and slow..
 
I think i am leaning toward the FG. A new RTR from DDM for 999 and it has the 26 motor. Got to sell off a few nitros and may sell the 5B.
