big bore kit break in

hi guys,just for peace of mind,my big bore stroker kit from ddm says in the instuctions that once you get your carb. tuned in break in is done.do you agree or should i do the recommended break in for the truck?would rather find out now before it costs me more $$$.

do the recommended break in for the truck before you do any power tuning to the carb, that way you don't risk being too lien and causing a ton of damage. I'm sure that somebody with more experience in this case will chime in to give more piece of mind

Do a warm up lap and give it hell. You don't need to baby these engines. The ring needs have a load on it in order to seat properly. Keep it slightly rich and you'll be fine.
