Hi.
has anyone got one of these.Looks impressive. Black F 150 body, 23cc engine and not expensive. My son has saved up to buy one but i would like to know a bit about them from somenoe who owns one. He definitely want a truck.
Thanks in advance,
Peter

He has saved $800 AU which is around $520US now.He can get a clone for $615 AU delivered. It has taken him some time for him and i can probably contribute $100 or so.

I have a baja but he wants a truck. Shipping to Australia, especially the way the dollar is would be too costly at around $150US

Hi wefishtoo,

Check out this part of the forum:

I don't think you could go wrong with it because Smartech Bigfoot = Duratrax Firehammer MT. The parts are interchangeable. Read through the above and see the different mods people did. There will be some updates that would be good right off:

1) Alloy differential
2) steel pinion
3) Alloy large motor mount (and maybe the small if the Smartech doesn't have it already)
4) Tuned pipe
5) outerwears on the pullstart

You also have http://www.powerslideracing.com.au/ which has some good aftermarket parts for it.

He got the big foot clone. Not great but has potential. Kept stripping pinions and the occasional spur. Found out that the bell wasn't grooved enough to hold the circlip. Got a smartech bell, now all is good. The body shell looks and feels strong but is a piece of c@#p.
First rool over split it. It is made of thick hard plastic that is very brittle.Bought an after market lexan shell. all is good again.Did some mods. Alloy gearplate with some better bearings, did a basic rebuild of the shocks, smartech brake pads, s/s servo tray, smartech alloy servo saver and a jetpro pipe. Cost me about $350 AU + $615 AU for the truck. Not a bad result as the smartech bigfoot sells for around $1000AU here stock.
