Here is a tip that I have seen on another forum for binding the DX3R.
If you read the instructions they are a bit confusing as to how to bind the receiver....here goes!

Question.
I have a DX3R, but when I tried to BIND the Rx with the Tx, as the manual follows, just get confused.

The Rx has 4 ¨ports¨ and the loop has to be in the BATTERY / BIND port, but in the manual, in says that I have to power the receiver in order to TURN IT ON.

How to I power the Rx if the BAT / BIND port is used by the Loop?

Arnswer.

You can power the receiver through any of the other ports during binding, so plug a battery (or an ESC) into another port and bind the receiver.

There,easy:clown:

Isn't the DX6I for helicopters and planes?

I think Super likes the old school way. I miss the stick controls of the 80's and before. Don't get me wrong the pistol grip is amazing, but when i look back on old pictures of my first RC's it brings me back. I just get all teary eyed :crying:

Ok enough of that:huh:

Not doubting you Soup, but I cant understand why its so vague on the 3R or is it S'?? It wouldnt be hard for Spekky to say "plug the live into the AUX port when the battery port is being used for binding"

I know what your saying, the other day i had to talk my dad trough the binding of his DX6I, i thought he was just being stupid, when i told him to plug the battery into any channel free, he did'nt believe me....

I think when i had my DX7 i had to plug the switch into the battary for some reason?

Don't you guys love the receiver were you don't need the bind plug? The one that has the bind button on it. The biggest pain in the Ars I find is that everytime you make an adjustment, they recommend you re-bind the thing again. ARRRRR...

Ah,forgot to say,on mine after you have fathomed out the binding prossess there is a bright orange sticker on it saying " Damage may occur if power is plugged into the telemetry ports(there are three of them) " making it a bit more of an issue.
My dad drives(rides/flys) whatever you do with boats and i talked him into a DX5.He was talking to the other old geezers(Hmmm, I'm 42 am I classed as an old geezer???) down at the boating lake and one was saying it takes 45 mins to bind the DX6!!!:clown::no:So I went down to his house, his face was a sight when 30 secs later it was up and running and no issues with it.Just goes to show don't listen to the first piece of advise.
