Ordered my Birthday Gift today. One of these. Should arrive by next Friday even with the holiday, Torrence isn't that far away from here.

O'Neil Brothers Racing 5.5hp PROSTOCK Zenoah 4 Bolt 30.5cc Engine

for someone who's gonna wait awhile to upgrade i'd have to say your while and my while are two different things. just yuk'in ya!! congrats i'll bet that baby will do the trick.

Figured I better go for it before the Tax Man grabs the money. AND it's just a month early. :)

It'll be interesting to see the difference. I'll also build up the 2 bolt, give me something to tinker with, half the fun is building something for me.

Think I'll use my Garmin GPS and make a few 0 to 200 foot runs on asphalt so I can get a comparison between the stock, OBR and the stock 30.5 after being built up with a OBR Race Ported 2 Bolt 30.5 Upgrade Kit. Using the X-CAN with and with out the silicon stingers, and varying amounts of crimp on one pipe using plastic ties at the aluminium mount wing cross bars.

Could be interesting. And keep me busy for a few months. Weather is crap right now for going to the bash area to do the "Photo Buggy" thing. Murphy's law, soon as I got the DR set up for that, blah.

I'll be blunt, since no one wants to make a "pipe" for the Dune Runner, by the time I get done, I might have a alternative to chopping the buggy to fit a pipe when I finish testing. It'll take some time. "I am paying out of my pocket for this". That's a reply from one pipe builder when I asked about a DR pipe. Big Deal. I'm paying out of my pocket too, so it will take a while until I'm finished and put up results. If not here, somewhere. But, what I'm looking at, tuning silicon pipe's off a X-CAN, well it could work on any rig. No Rocket Science here, just "trial and error", and thinking "out of the box".

Did you get the whole motor? Is it the long rod block?

The whole thing, including the carb. Not the long rod. Just the Pro Stock. Supposed to run well with stock exhaust like HPI, aftermarket like X-CAN. No pipe required.

Upgradeable if you decide it's needed, ship it to OBR for what you want.

Congrats and happy birthday.i got my gizmo 30.5 prolite 2 weeks ago and its still in the box waiting for time to start my winter project.good luck...

Got the idea about putting some restriction on one of the silicon pipes after reading the DDM tech site where he talks about can exhausts.

Tried it out yesterday. And had TONS OF FUN. The buggy ran like it never had before. A little backpressure on the X-Can and WOW. Offhand, I'd say it was like going from the stock can to the X-Can. I've been running rich, so it had a bit of bog starting out, pulling great after that, and the top end...

Just waiting for USPS. Then a bunch of runs with the stock engine testing various exhaust configurations before I install the OBR. Soon as I get the parts to fix my goof running wild.

Dumb poop, NEVER bash where you haven't walked the area.

I'm trying to tune the X-Can using silicon stingers and pinching one or both stingers and evaluating, documenting results. Just looking for an alternative. Worked military R&D/T&E for years, and got to use my ideas operationally, plus I like thinking "out of the box", forget conventional wisdom.

It will take a bit of time. Be nice to have tons of money and not have to work. :) It's amazing how fast all the little things add up. Easier on the ego though, used to fly big gliders, man you feel like crap when you bust one up so bad that all you can salvage is the electronics. "Sh.. Happens"

OBR Pro Stock 30.5 arrived today. Complete with a 990 carb of course, and a stock clutch.

A few more tanks of gas through the stock 30.5 to get some data for my X-Can project, then it'll be engine swap time.
