Black piston ?

My piston was black when I took the head off what does this mean ?

Its a build up of oil which is why your piston is black, not a problem, had that on my old 26 engine and had no issues.

means your running rich in most cases. so that means you can lean up the needles maybe and get a little more power.

the spark plug has quit some fuel on it but she aint starting up :helpsmilie: coud this be the reason for this and another thing there was quite alot off fuel on the piston most likey fludded but ive cleaned it know and will try to start her on the weekend

and bud witch needle shell i adjust and shell i adjust it in or out ?

you want to go in on the needles. check out a couple of the tuning threads here, remember the needles are sensitive. also recomend you get the engine running and warm before you play with the needles. go 1/16 of a turn in each time and test from there.
