finally busted my shock shafts!! both rears went out in a blaze. suprised they lasted as long as they did! i really put a hurting on her today. i ran a tank thru the new mill and leaned it out..WOW!! runs like a shaved ape. still need to work on the tune.. so i cant really say how high i was jumping the snow banks couse it wasnt on vid. but i can tell you IT WAS REALLY HIGH!! not so familour with what i need to get, but i am up for ideas. what are my options with the hpi's or should i wait for "phats".. i really want something with a ressy and may look at some complet shocks.

no i still have the springs. im thinking the redcat upgraded shocks are the same just with a ressy? might get 4 of them and wait for the phatties. i don't really know why im stuck on wanting a ressy shock body. i looking for something now. not sure what..
 
so im looking at a couple diffrent option, but are the length of hpi's shaft diffrent from redcats? do i need all 4 rear shafts? whats the skinny on the lenghts.

I got 2x Phatdad front kits made for the 5B in earlier this week and they are too long for the front shock bodies. Prolly around 3/16" to long. The rear shocks were perfect. Just use some nylon spacers on the shafts so the piston won't go past the top of the shock body.


Also, I think the Bajampage sets on Rampage Hopups are made to fit the Rampage perfectly. I send in a email to ask so I'll find out for sure soon.

kaz helped me out with the hpi heavy duty shafts.. i think it should hold up fine. im not super hard on it, i coulda milked these stock shafts for a while but was trying to thrash my body enough to get a new one.. body is still together:rolleyes:.. plus i just couldnt wait for fatty any more..
