Just a couple of photos of the 'Big 3' that I have.
The Raminator was originally a Raminator, now only the body and wheels are as original. It's LST2 in everything at least ...
The ConFederCuda was an E-Maxx 3906 2-speed. Only original parts are the Rx antenna, gear change servo and linkage!!
FG 2WD MT you'll recognise from previous photos.
I've now modified a roll bar to fit and look more appropriate - slides in and out of 'P-clips' clamped to the chassis roll bar.

Very nice atom.

I would love to know how you got the paint on the tires so nice.. Sorry if i already asked that question before.

Chris

Hi Chris.
Don't believe you have asked before, but no worries anyway.
I bought the MT used with the tyres already done. This fades with use, so you have to repeat from time to time - takes about an hour or so to do it properly!
I use a medium white marker. Can purchase these at any stationery store or department - definitely not expensive. I like the look also.
Being a bit of a pain, I thought about leaving it, but prefer the look with it.
Alan.

Thanks Alan. You just followed the name that was already indented on the tire correct? I am looking to do this on my FG on-road, but want to do the michellin logo.

Good to hear that a marker will do the trick.

Chris

Hi Chris,
YES, I just followed the mould marks.
Take care as white marker is very 'runny' if you're thinking of using a stencil.
Don't think Tamiya-like decals would work too well - done that with Tamiya but on large scale the wall flexes too much IMO.
Good luck.

The Cuda paint was my own - got bored. I backed fluorescent red and fluorescent green with flakey silver instead of white. The General Lee part was found on FleaBay.
The Blue Thunder truck looks even better close up. That was caci - great job.
I'm currently 'made up' with my attempt at copying the Blue Thunder roll bar using long grub screws, black 'carbon impregnated nylon bar', and P-clips.
It looks the part and is quite easy to remove / replace. The bars pivot and the P-clips are held firm by nylok nuts but move easily.

The FG's not active as I'm working on the steering, then will install hydro brakes. The Ram and E-Maxx are - VERY !! :clown:
