Just got a new PC with windows 8 installed. Its all singing and dancing with a touch screen monitor ,ITb HDD,god knows how much RAM and everything you want to have with a new PC but this friggin windows 8 is driving me nuts!
Its a minefield how to do things on it and all the features just aren't getting used because it s so bloody hard to work.
Damn you Bill Gates!!!
 
Windows 8 is a pain in the butt, I've yet to update any of my machines because of it and have actually uninstalled it on new machines for customers and installed Windows 7 instead.

The new update, 8.1 is supposed to make life a bit easier with Windows 8 - have you tried upgrading?

have one running '98 and that's brilliant but afraid out of date.three running XP and three running Vista.Everything is great on the rest and this new one is crap because of the system.I am resorting to going on my old one with XP because that's the one that I can work!:mad:

I run windows 7 home premium 64 bit on my watercooled full tower,,, but I did read,, windows 8 has some updates out that fix its many issues,, it was designed for a touch screen I understand but most aren't on them,,, just a regular monitor or laptop,,,, is it another vista,,,??? vista was so bad u cant buy it anymore,, u can buy xp,,

XP all the way mate.Thats the reason we bought the 8 version for our daughters as they needed a touch screen.Vista is garbage but at least I can work it.
How long is it going to be before XP is out of date though???

Windows do what BL did 30 years ago.
They design a fundamentally excellent 'vehicle', but leave the actual consumer to do the development work for them and send them the problems they've encountered.

A couple of subtle differences:
1. BL never listened, but Windows do, sometimes.
2. Windows is still going - just .....

I hear a cue for a Top Gear clip coming on ........ !!!!!!!

I think the win 8 is only for touch pad or something. So hard to use with normal PC....... Or maybe I am just stupid.................
