Hi, I'm new to 1/5 and the MT. I ran my new to me (used) MT for 5 minutes and rear diff blew apart. Is this a common problem? I have extra parts on order from RCR. Are there aluminum diff cases anywhere?


Also, I took apart front diff and noticed there were no large washers over o-rings at the larger gear/outdrive. Is this ok? I am used to putting these washer in on my 1/8 tuggy to prevent o-rings coming out around the gear and f-ing thing up. I tried to put a large washer in and I could not get the pin in the outdrive shaft. Any ideas?
 
I have confirmed that it is version 1. I ordered new diff parts from RCR and will rebuild both diffs. I take it there are no aluminum diff cases out there.
