Came eventually last last night.
On first apperance it looks very plasticy, but feels nice and solid in the hand,
the case is almost transparent and you can see gears inside.
Comes with the usual plastic horns, but i ordered an alloy twin arm one (25T)
Using this in my MT Beetle, running on Baja wheels (haven't tried it with the MT wheels yet)
I have strenghend the servo (standard) tray with x2 extra bolts to the chassis at the front, one either side, which has made the tray very solid indeed.
The servo is rated at 14.6KG @ 6v
I gotta say, for £30 this is an awesome servo.
I can lock the rear wheels on dry tarmac. :w00t: Im running cable disk brakes on the rear (have fronts cable brakes on a seperate servo but disconnected them to test this Bluebird)
The rear brakes are set up well with minimum disk "wobble" which greatly improves its effectiveness.
don't know what it will perform like with the much larger MT wheels but will report back when i do.
I was also looking at the Savox 1256 which is rated at 20KG @ 6v for £57
I was on a budget as had other stuff to also get.
Summary:
14Kg servo @ £30 seems to be a great purchase. Been out with it for 45 mins testing its capability, braking heavy etc and its been rock solid - I I think i read on here that the Bluebird falls under the Ansmann umbrella so don't think
im gonna have any issues
Hope this reveiw / test helps other thinking about servo choice
