i keep having problems with my cy26 bogging when i hit the throttle. what happens generally going around the track, have to slow right down for the hairpin before the long straight, and when i hit the throttle out of the corner i get a long bog before it picks back up and charges. through the rest of the track when i can keep my speed a little higher i have no problems with this. it also seems to get worse as i pile the laps on, till i bring the car in and let it cool down. when it starts acting up im able to blip the throttle a bunch and it wont be so bad, but its still there.
here is what ive done. ive changed the plug, ive tweaked the carb a bunch both ways, high and low end with no change, ive changed gearing, ive played around with the clutch engaugement point, and cleaned the airfilter. it never appears to be starving for fuel, primer bulb is always full and the plug is showing just a touch rich. the motor is a stock cy26, maybe has around 5 gallons of fuel through it, 668 carb, mielke sidepower pipe (tried another pipe, no change), fg f1 air intake, cy clutch, 40/24 gearing in a 1/2 sportsline 1/2 evo.
any thoughts?? its done this pretty most of its life. myself im thinking carb, but not wanting to blindly go change it.
