My car uses a little bit of oil (common for this engine) and I know its due for a top up with the miles Ive done since the last top up so went to check it and top up the washer fluid, pulled the bonnet (hood for those across the pond) release and nothing happened. Tried a few times & still nothing. Tried the usual trick of having someone pull the lever & push down on the bonnet to try to free it up but still nothing. Ive read up on the forums and the only way in is to smash the grille off & find the release lever but couldnt locate that either!! Fecking pissed off to say the least!! Will be getting the breakdown out tomorrow to see if they can do it, surely it will be bread & butter stuff for them.

Other than this is been faultless in the 30k miles since I got it in April so cant grumble.

Had it in to Vauxhall today and turns out the bonnet release mechanism was fecked so they had to take the bumper and rad off to get into it. 2hrs labour to get it open, new release mechanism & cable & 1hr labour to put it back together........feckin £304 the robbing bastards.
