Im curious about the Boost Bottles For RC's What are your thoughts on the Boost Bottles????? And the small Nos kits ?? That i think are just Co2 !! LOL But Im gonna try the Nos on my boat. just to see if it works :)


Please give your Experience or any Insight u may with these products On your RC Rampage, Baja, etc !!!
 
Boost bottles are useless, another spot for an air leak and they don't give you any better performance at all (not from experience, but from stuff I've read over on the HPI baja forums). They do look cool though :cool: .


NOS would likely give you an increase, I think there was an article on these forums about someone that installed a small nitrous bottle on their truck.

I used to live in LA and had lots of friends who had NOS in their cars and race them. Nos is like a crack for engines. It will give you a quick boost then mess up your engine and have to tear it down to repair the damage the NOS did on the motor. They didn't care, they were bunch of spoiled rich kids. But us "normal" guys, that's a lot for a short burst of excitement. I'd say just upgrade to a bigger motor if you know how. Dragsters do the same thing. They tear down the motor almost after every run because of the massive power, the engine components can only handle those horsepower for one or 2 races. It looks like that FG with the nitrous oxide could not handle the extra power boost.

I have 6-- 93.6cc Reed engines with tillotson carbs 5 of them run and I plan on buying 60 to 72 inch Boat hull and build a beast for this summer. But If i could get one of these on a Ramp. OMG it would be SICK :D I know a few peeps whom work with Aluminum I can get all the stock i need to work with Just need CNC machine !!! LOL But who don't need one of those :)
 
I was the one with the nitrous express kit on my mt. It will not mess up your engine unless you run it all day on nitrous.it was the speed 3000 kit. 3 or 4 oz bottle thats refillable. And i ran vp 110 gas and you should always use castor 927 oil. Synthetic oil does not burn so it really robs you of power. Castor 927 oil will burn and helps performance alot.i used a 10lb nitrous bottle to refill the one on my truck. I went through a complete 10lb bottle with no engine issues at all. It is very helpfull torun the h needle a little rich.my mt would flip backwards with the nitrous. I think ihave some videos of it
