Boost bottles do work, but they have to be proper for the application. Look at all the ones you can get, they are the exact same thing they use on 1/10th and 1/8th engines, just re-advertised on EBay to goat you in. These are all way to small for the application and like said, they are basically Co2 cartridges with fuel tube added. They don't change the bottle volume size, so its a generic fit.
BHilly, you are correct, they do work on applications like the banshee, but look at the size difference, I have installed them on a couple banshees so I know, the "bottle" and tubes are relative in size to the engine.
Bottom line, save your money for something that is actually going to make a difference, like gears, big bore kits or a better carb.
So true, my HPI SS Cloned pipe got holes in it pretty quick. I changed over to another cloned pipe, the Integy Afterburner. Runs really well, good all around pipe and solidly built (for an Integy part), it sealed tight against the head and is fully protected from rear impact.Don't forget, the biggest change is from a tuned pipe - this is before you start spending loads of money on engine tuning, etc.

+1 best advise on this subject lol:lol:you can,t beat a good pipe and more cc,s
i used to run a zenoah 23 with a mk1 dom pipe and it was quick but the piston give up on the 2nd tank ,so i rebuilt it with a 30.5 kit with a stuffed crank and the old dom pipe only run it for 1 tank but its awesome .[/QUOT
