well for anything to work, you would have to be dynoing, metering fuel, and anything else that would read what your engine is doing before the bottles and after, i don't know anyone in there home that has all that and more equipment wise,
if anything is happening with the bottles it so minute you cant even tell, thats why people say they don't work, but they add the bling factor

i had n rc10 gt that i put a boost bottle on and i did see an improvement with that. i was thinking it would be similar with the larger scale.

no real proof they do much at all, mostly just a way someone takes money away from your wallet. lol waste of time and money, and wellstated above. BLING FACTOR is all they are. i can take two empty CO2 cartridges, run a lil bit of hoseing around and get the same LOOK. lol

I know the do work. I had a banshee without the boost bottle in dynoed 51hp with it did 57 had to even lean it out a little bit. So it was a 6-7% gain. So on a 23-30.5cc motor you would never tell and it would probbly be slower do to the wheight.

not sayin they don't work on a larger motor, im sure they do, its these 5th scale motors that we're talking bout using them on, and theres not really any proof they do much of anything on them for the price, and pain in butt they would be to install, and not have any connections leak on yah.

I know. I was trying to point out the gain on the little motors is so small and the added weight is not worth it. The power gained will be lost due to the added weight.

Boost bottles do work, but they have to be proper for the application. Look at all the ones you can get, they are the exact same thing they use on 1/10th and 1/8th engines, just re-advertised on EBay to goat you in. These are all way to small for the application and like said, they are basically Co2 cartridges with fuel tube added. They don't change the bottle volume size, so its a generic fit.

BHilly, you are correct, they do work on applications like the banshee, but look at the size difference, I have installed them on a couple banshees so I know, the "bottle" and tubes are relative in size to the engine.

Bottom line, save your money for something that is actually going to make a difference, like gears, big bore kits or a better carb.

Don't forget, the biggest change is from a tuned pipe - this is before you start spending loads of money on engine tuning, etc.

So true, my HPI SS Cloned pipe got holes in it pretty quick. I changed over to another cloned pipe, the Integy Afterburner. Runs really well, good all around pipe and solidly built (for an Integy part), it sealed tight against the head and is fully protected from rear impact.

Is that the welded pipe they make. Been thinking of giving it a try. Hows the low end power? Is it better in the low end then the hpi clone that they come with?

I have a 10th scale with a boost bottle but its the quarter of the size as the one for the 5th scale. It worked great on the 10th scale

something happens

my boost bottles make it more responsive and easier to set your high and low needle. in other words they eliminated bog down from tickover meaning yu don't get a fuel build up as bad when it is stood still ticking over. but for increase in power i wouldnt say it is that noticeable maybe the acceleration could be smoother there my findings on the subject. also if yu install them make sure that the hoses cant come loose cos it will run away from yu and could break summit lol.

yup i think we can all agree theres nothing like seeing big motors in them. whats that thing tim allen did on tool time? lol

i used to run a zenoah 23 with a mk1 dom pipe and it was quick but the piston give up on the 2nd tank ,so i rebuilt it with a 30.5 kit with a stuffed crank and the old dom pipe only run it for 1 tank but its awsome .
