IF...they don't work why do company's invest millions in making them/marketing etc ?

They must be tested and proved to work at least on a test bench or trading standards etc would have a field day.

its kinda funny, when i was big into nitro this same discussion went on and everyone said boost bottles don't work on small nitro engines, but larger gas 2 strokes like dirtbikes/quads they do. here we are now, and everyone says they don't work on our small gas engines.

has anyone actualy read anything about people using them on dirtbikes/quads and weather they work or not???

Because there is so many dopey buggers out there that keep buying the stupid things.

Very true mate.......i would like to see some facts as to how they work or supposed to work.
Im a full time mechanic and understand how engines work (Diesel specialist) but these little gas/petrol engines are new to me.

rich had them on his baja and recently sold them. didn't notice a difference in performance before and after.

the premise is to store fuel and pressure until vaccuum in the motor utilizes what is stored. these bottles are small in comparison. not much bigger than the boost bottles for tiny nitro engines. and nitro is a different setup than a gas engine...

almost every engine I ever owned with boost bottles (external or even like my old os with the backplate being a boost bottle) leaked and caused my engine grief. back then I was a fanatic about my racing (I cleaned my bearings even between every round of qualifying and such) and I really never noticed any real improvements in performance. the benefits are negligible at best and there are so many other ways of increasing power that far surpass what these things will give at our disposal.

like we all know k&n filters suck, but they sell a ton of them every year
