while searching thru bins at the LHS for screws I found these, their heavy duty covers for alligator clips and were less than 2 bucks each so I'm going to give them a try, Its a good thing the pins come out though because there aint know getting them over solid dog bones.

you come up with such interesting ways to protect your driveline lol...let me know how that works out for ya.......i don't see those lasting to long for sum reason

you got to use the resources available to you I hate waiting for shipping, these things are pretty thick and even had lips that hooked over the back tips are double the thickness of the top and fit around shaft really nice, I'm trying them on the center first because there's no movement and I put 125000 silicon inside, the tubing I'm using on the outboard hubs are working well but they don't offer any inside cup protection. I've read some posts on the reqular boots how thin they were and they cost more plus the shipping so I'll wait and see, however it may be a while the weather has turned nasty here.

i have to agree with dozer i don't see them lasting too long.i could be wrong though. i also agree with you that some other boots are very thin. but the dark soul boots along with cat 5 diff cup rings is an inexpensive way to beef up your drive line. i did mine before i ever ran it and have not broken or lost a single part. and the dark soul boots are way way way heavier than hpi boots
